Learning from the DirectionsFirst, set aside anything you have learned from any sources and make a decision to learn from nature Herself. This is how we learn from the Sacred Scriptures written in Nature. Think about a day. What does the cycle of a day have in common with other cycles such as the cycle of life and the cycle of the year? Now lets be specific. Get up early and watch the sunrise. When you face the sun at dawn you are facing what direction? Think about the sunrise and the feelings that it evokes in you. Now what personal direction feels most natural for sunrise? Front? Back? Left? Right? Up? Down? Center? What does the sunrise have in common with other events? What does sunrise have in common with life cycle? What does sunrise have in common with the years seasons. Now watch the sunset and think about the feelings that it evokes in you. When you face the sun at dusk what direction are you facing? Now what personal direction feels most natural for sunset? Front? Back? Left? Right? Up? Down? Center? What does the sunset have in common with other events? What does sunset have in common with life cycle? What does sunset have in common with the years seasons. Repeat the same thing with the sun at midday. When you face the sun at noon what direction are you facing? What personal direction feels most natural for noon? Front? Back? Left? Right? Up? Down? Center? What does noon have in common with other events? What does noon have in common with life cycle? What does noon have in common with the years seasons. Repeat the same thing with the sun at midnight. If you could face the sun at midnight what direction would you be facing? What personal direction feels most natural for midnight? Front? Back? Left? Right? Up? Down? Center? What does midnight have in common with other events? What does midnight have in common with life cycle? What does midnight have in common with the years seasons. Repeat the same process with the Sky above you both day and night, and then the Earth. |
